In Long Live the Chief!, you are an orc caught in the funeral procession of Thunderlord Bas Gul, crossing the brutal plains of Te Raak while rival clans mourn, scheme, riot, assassinate, and prepare for war.

Roll through days of hostile weather and dangerous conspiracies, build Glory, survive the struggle for influence, and face the final judgment of the Allfire.

Thunderlord Bas Gul ruled the clans of Te Raak through conquest, blood-oaths, and fear. Under his banner, rival tribes fought as one, and the Vaast winds carried his name across the plains.

Now Bas Gul is dead.

By ancient custom, his body must be carried to the burial grounds and burned in the sacred Allfire, a flame said to have survived every war since the first orc clans crossed Te Raak. Only when the Chief’s ashes are taken by the Vaast winds is their rule truly ended.

Until then, no successor is legitimate. So the clans walk together behind the corpse. Old enemies share the same road. Heirs whisper behind funeral banners. Champions count loyal axes. Priests guard the Allfire. Assassins move through the night.

The procession is meant to honor the dead.

Instead, it may decide who rules the living.
